Electric AC buses to Tirumala from tomorrow

Tirupati: As the state government has decided to make 100 electric buses (AC) buses available for passengers in Tirupati and Tirumala in order to comply with the environmental interest, CM Jagan will start around 10 buses at Alipiri on Tuesday in the wake of the annual Brahmotsavam of Tirupati and Tirumala Devasthanams, tirupati collector Venkataramana Reddy said. Each bus with 35 passengers can travel 180 km on a single charge, LED display, CCTV cameras, Wi-Fi. Facilities like GPS tracking, luggage racks are available. For these buses, Alipiri Depot has been completely allocated to electric buses and charging stations have been set up. RTC will run 50 buses between Tirupati – Tirumala, 14 Tirupati – Renigunta Airport, 12 Tirupati – Madanapalli, 12 Tirupati – Kadapa and 12 Tirupati – Nellore buses.
