Elon Musk to open first showroom in India in Mumbai on July 15

Amaravati: Tesla, the luxury electric car manufacturer owned by American business magnate Elon Musk, is set to open its first showroom in the country’s financial capital, Mumbai, it has been learned. Tesla will officially launch its first showroom in India on July 15, according to a report by Reuters. Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) is reportedly set to open. Tesla has reportedly brought Model Y cars from its factory in Shanghai, China, to enter the Indian market.
Sources have revealed that Tesla is planning to open another showroom in Delhi after seeing the demand for its cars in the Indian market.
Tesla has leased 4,000 square feet of space in the Bandra Kurla Complex business district. It is reported that Elon Musk will pay a monthly rent of Rs. 35 lakh for this showroom space with parking facilities. The Model Y, which currently holds the record for the highest-selling electric car, could cost around Rs. 48 lakh, including taxes and insurance. With Tesla car sales plummeting in Europe and China, the Indian market is now Elon Musk’s only target.
