Fatal accident at granite quarry in Bapatla district-6 people killed

Amaravati: A serious accident occurred on Sunday at the Satyakrishna Granite Quarry near Ballikurava in Andhra Pradesh,Bapatla district. Six workers died after granite rocks fell in a granite quarry. It is reported that 16 workers were working in the quarry at the time of the accident.

Remembering Odisha residents:- Police are conducting a special operation to retrieve those trapped under the rubble. The workers who sustained serious injuries were taken to the hospital for treatment.. It seems that some of them are in critical condition. The bodies lying under the rocks were recovered and taken to the Addanki Government Hospital.

The Bapatla District Collector and SP spoke to local authorities about the accident and accelerated relief efforts. The deceased have been initially identified as residents of Odisha. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu responded to the quarry accident. He asked the authorities to inquire into the incident, find out the details, provide better medical treatment to the injured, and order an investigation into the causes of the accident.
