Nellore: As part of the Clean Andhra Pradesh campaign, Commissioner Vikas Marmat has warned that people should cooperate with the door-to-door garbage collection planned by the Nellore city government and strict action will be taken against the managers of hospitals and business offices who throw garbage in public places. The commissioner inspected the sanitation muster point in the local 44th and 46th divisions of Mogatota, Gandhi Bomma, RR Street, Trunk Road and Big Bazaar areas at 6 am on Saturday. The commissioner inspected the attendance of the sanitation staff under the division. It has been suggested that the managers of hospitals and medical shops in the smog area are negligent towards the cleanliness of the environment and the corporation should provide waste only to the garbage collection vehicles. The commissioner found the management of a nearby hotel dumping waste on the road and warned that the license would be revoked if the practice was not changed.
