Cuts in the allowances of police personnel, the grumbling in the staff
Amaravati: The state government has issued GO No-79 cutting the allowances of police personnel. The YCP government has taken a decision to completely remove the 30 percent allowance previously allotted to the Disha staff. The 15 percent allowance of the Anti-Naxalism Squad (ANS) personnel working in the agency areas has also been completely abolished. The allowance of those working in ACB on deputation has been reduced from 30 to 25 percent. Also, it has been decided to reduce the allowance from 10 to 8 percent of those who are directly recruited in ACB. Additional HRA has also been removed for government employees working in agencies. Constables cycle allowance has also been removed. On 12th July, when GO No-79 was passed by cutting the allowances, the DGP’s office gave its consent to the government as favorable to the GO. Due to this, cuts in the allowances of the state police personnel have started. There has been a grumbling among the police personnel that the allowances given to those who have worked hard in their duties will also be cut.
