ED notices to MLC Kalvakutla Kavitha in Delhi liquor policy scam case

Hyderabad: ED has issued a notice to MLC Kalvakutla Kavitha in the Delhi Liquor Policy scam case.. The notice said that Kavitha should come to Delhi on Thursday for investigation.. ED arrested Arun Ramachandra Pillai, who acted as a proxy for South Group MLC Kavitha, around 11 pm on Tuesday. In the ED investigation, Ramachandra Pillai admitted that he was a benami of Kavitha; ED revealed that donations of Rs. 100 crores went to AAP leaders from the South Group. During the interrogation of Pillai, the ED found that there were transactions between Kavitha and Pillai. ED has mentioned Kavitha’s name in the remand report. ED has asked Kavitha to come for inquiry on this matter on Thursday. ED has also issued notices to former auditor Buchibabu along with Kavitha. ED believes that if Buchi Babu is interrogated, the key evidence will be revealed in his statement. Sarath Chandra Reddy, who was arrested in the liquor scam, Abhishek will be questioned about his relationship with Pillai. So far 11 people have been arrested in the Delhi liquor scam case. Ramachandra Pillai will remain in ED custody till 13th of this month.
