According to the police, Aravinda Travels bus left from Chinaganjam in Bapatla district via Parchur and Chilakaluripet to Hyderabad with 40 passengers on Tuesday night. Chinaganjam, Gonasapudi, Nilayapalem people are more in the bus.. All of them voted in the election held on Monday and returned to Hyderabad. At around 1.30 pm, when the bus reached Ivurivaripalem between Annambatlavari Palem and Pasumarru villages of Chilakaluripet Mandal, the national highway road was under construction, and a speeding tipper collided with a gravel load on the opposite side of the service road that had been constructed for vehicular traffic.Within moments, the tipper caught fire and immediately caught fire in to bus. About 20 people caught fire before the passengers who were sleeping soundly got down. Five people including the driver of the bus and the tipper were burnt alive in the bus. Among them, Kashi Brahmeshwar Rao (62), his wife Lakshmi (55) and their granddaughter Srisai (9) were burnt in the fire. Passengers said that many of the passengers in the bus jumped down from the emergency door and saved their lives.
