Heavy rains in Tamil Nadu-Govt declares holiday for schools
Amaravati: Heavy rains are falling in many districts along with Nagapatnam in Tamil Nadu due to low pressure formed in South West Bay of Bengal. The state government has declared a holiday for schools and colleges in Nagapatnam and Mailaduthurai districts. The Indian Meteorological Department has announced that the low pressure is centered at a distance of 60 km from Batticaloa in Sri Lanka and 400 km from Karaikal in Tamil Nadu. Chennai Meteorological Center has said that due to the influence of Dini, heavy rains will occur in most parts of South Tamil Nadu from Mosul.
