Salagrama rocks reached Ayodhya

Amaravati: Salagrama rocks have reached Ayodhya from Nepal to make the idols of Lord Rama and Janaki Devi to be installed in the Ayodhya Rama Mandir. The priests and local people garlanded them and worshiped them..After which they were handed over to Sri Rama Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra Trust.. The whole of Ayodhya was transformed with the name of Jai Shri Ram. They were transported to Ayodhya by heavy duty trucks from Janakpur in Nepal. One weighs 18 tones and the other weighs 16 tones. These rocks found near the Gandaki River in Nepal are considered very sacred by Vishnu devotees. The idols of Rama, Sita, Lakshmana, and Anjaneya will be made from these 60 million-year-old rocks. The central government has already announced that it will provide darshan of Lord Rama by January 2024. The birth place of Sita Mata is known as Janakpur in Nepal. Champat Roy, General Secretary of Sri Rama Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra Trust said that these Salagrams were first taken from Kali Gandaki and Galeshwar in Nepal to the Janaki Mata temple in Janakpurdham in that country. It is said that Salagramas reached Ayodhya through many cities to make idols of Lord Rama.
