Indian government bans 232 Chinese apps

Amaravati: Regarding the country China, the central government has taken a decision on Sunday banning 232 apps operating in India. It is known to the readers that the Center has banned many Chinese apps in the past as well. Currently, the IT department has banned 138 betting apps and 94 loan apps on the orders of the Union Home Ministry. Six months ago, the Union Home Ministry had recommended action against Chinese apps.

It has been found in the investigation of the Union Home Ministry that Chinese apps are being harassed in the name of loans. Also, the Ministry of Home Affairs has found that the administrators of these apps are involved in espionage. According to the information received from the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology has started the process of banning and blocking on an urgent basis.

It found that 94 of the loan lending apps are available on e-stores, while others operate through third-party links. The decision was taken by the Center following information from intelligence sources that these apps could pose a security risk to the data of Indian citizens.
