The launch time was just 4 minutes and 50 seconds and launched the satellite into a specified orbit at an altitude of 103 km above the Earth’s surface. ISRO launched the Vikram-S rocket developed by Hyderabad-based startup Skyroot Aero Space. On this occasion, ISRO Chairman Somnath said that the first mission has been named ‘prarambh’. He said that he was happy that the Vikram-S rocket launch was successful and it was the beginning of private rocket launches. This private rocket will be used to validate 80% of the technologies used in the Vikram-1 orbital vehicle to be launched next year. Union Minister Jitendra Singh was present to watch the experiment.

In 2020, the central government allowed the private sector to enter the space sector. Pawan Kumar, the CEO of the company, said that as soon as the permissions were received, Skyroot Aero Space made this rocket within a period of two years and at a very low cost. Skyroot Aero Space Company has raised around Rs.408 crores for this rocket launch. Skyroot is named after the famous scientist Dr. Vikram Sarabhai who pioneered space experiments in India.
