Karnataka BJP MLA Madal Virupakshappa arrested

Amaravathi: Karnataka Channagiri BJP MLA Madal Virupakshappa has been arrested by the police in a bribery case related to Karnataka Soaps and Detergents Limited, which is the chairman. Lokayukta police arrested Virupakshappa near Kyathsandra in Tumkur while he was coming to Bengaluru. After his son Prashant Madal was caught taking a bribe of Rs.40 lakhs, the police named MLY Virupakshappa as the main accused in this case. A Single Judge Bench of the Karnataka High Court dismissed Virupakshappa’s anticipatory bail petition.
