Khalistan sympathizer Amritpal Singh arrested
Amaravati: Amritpal Singh, a Khalistan sympathizer and chief of Waris Punjab, was officially announced by the police on Sunday. Since March 18, he has been hiding from the police. Amritpal Singh was arrested at 6.45 am in Moga, Punjab, police tweeted. Amritsar Police and Punjab Police Intelligence Wing conducted a joint operation and the police did not enter the Gurdwara Sahib to protect its sanctity. Punjab Police has already arrested 207 people in the Amrit Pal Singh case. It seems that the police who detained Amrit Pal will be taken to Dibrugarh Jail in Assam.
(Amrit Paul’s close associate Lovepreet Singh alias Toofan Singh was arrested in a kidnapping case by the Punjab police in February. A large number of Amritpal’s followers tried to attack the Ajnala Police Station in Amritsar district in opposition to the said arrest. A case was registered against Amritpal at that time on the charges of inciting the youth to riot).
