The cyclone is likely to cross the coast between West Bengal and Bangladesh by Sunday-IMD

Amaravati: The low pressure formed in West Central Bay of Bengal has strengthened and has become a severe low pressure. According to the Meteorological Department, it will turn into a cyclone by Saturday. Officials clarified that the cyclone will not affect the coast of Andhra Pradesh. This cyclone has been named as Remal cyclone. It turned into a severe storm on Saturday evening, said the Meteorological Department on Sunday. Due to the cyclone, there are chances of heavy rains in North Eastern states like Bengal, North Odisha, Mizoram, Tripura and Manipur. It is said that during Tirandet there will be heavy rains and winds with a speed of 102 km per hour. Fishermen warned not to go fish hunting. Due to the impact of the cyclone, heavy rains are falling in Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Puducherry in the south.
