Low pressure in Bay of Bengal-Rains for two days-Department of Meteorology

Amaravati: Low pressure has formed in the vicinity of South Andaman Sea. It is likely to move west-northwestward and become a cyclonic storm over Southeast Bay of Bengal by Tuesday evening. After that it will gradually become a cyclonic storm and is likely to reach North Tamil Nadu – South Coast near Southwest Bay of Bengal by Thursday morning. As a result of this, heavy rains are likely to occur in Prakasam, SPSR Nellore and Tirupati districts of South Coast, Chittoor, YSR and Annamaiya districts of Rayalaseema and light to moderate rains in many places for two days on Thursday and Friday. Fishermen should not go hunting near Tamil Nadu – South Coast on Thursdays and Fridays.
