Microsoft CEO Satyanadella who received the Padma Bhushan award
Amaravati: Satyanadella, who is of Indian origin and was born in Hyderabad, and currently serves as the CEO of Microsoft, got a rare honor. Satyanadella received the Padma Bhushan Award at the hands of Dr. T.V Nagendra Prasad, Consul General of India in San Francisco. After the announcement of the award, as Satyanadella could not come to India to receive the award due to some unavoidable reasons, he was presented with the award in San Francisco. On the occasion of receiving this award, he said that he feels much honored to receive the prestigious award. Satyanadella thanked the President, Prime Minister and the people of the country. Discussed with Prasad the key role played by digital technology in empowering inclusive growth in the country. Nadella said that digital technology will become more accessible in the coming decade. He expressed the opinion that in accordance with the rapidly changing times, the youth are leaning towards technology and this will lead to great innovation. He said he looks forward to working with people across the country to further advance technology. The Padma Awards are one of India’s highest awards, announced every year on the occasion of Republic Day. Satyanadella is one of the 17 awardees selected for the Padma Bhushan award this year (2022).
