Pankaj Udhas’ voice is muted in the film industry

Amaravati: Another voice has passed away in the film industry.. Eminent classical singer Pankaj Udhas (73) has been suffering from illness for some time and is undergoing treatment. His daughter Nayab Udhas confirmed the news of her father’s death on Monday through an official statement by Udhas.. “It is with a very heavy heart that we regret to inform you that Padma Shri Pankaj Udhas passed away on 26 February 2024 due to prolonged illness,” it said. Udhas was recognized as one of the most popular ghazal singers in India during the 1980s and 1990s.
Pankaj Udhas famous ghazals include ‘Chitti Aai Hai’,, ‘Aur Aahista Kijie Bathen’,, ‘Chandi Jaisa Rang Hai Tera’,, ‘Na Kajre Ki Dhar’. Udhas has received numerous awards and accolades for his achievements in the arts, including one of India’s highest civilian awards, the Padma Shri, in 2006 for his services to music.
