Prime Minister Modi laid foundation stone for aircraft manufacturing plant in Vadodara

Amaravati: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that C-295 aircraft manufactured with Make India tag will be available in the country. He said that the aircraft to be manufactured in Gujarat will not only provide new strength to the army but also develop a new construction system in aircraft manufacturing. Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for an aircraft manufacturing plant in Vadodara, Gujarat. Modi said that the aviation sector is one of the fastest growing sectors in the country. He said that soon India will enter the top 3 countries in the world in terms of air traffic. Modi revealed that in the next 10 years, more than 2,000 aircraft will be required for public transport and the military in the country. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia and others participated in this program. The C-295 aircraft will replace the Avro-784, which has been serving as transport aircraft in the army till now. Last year, the Indian Air Force signed an agreement with Airbus Defense and Space to manufacture 56 C-295 transport aircraft with a budget of Rs 21,000 crore.
