Puja can be done in Vyas Basement of Gnanavapi Samudayam-Supreme
Amaravati: The Supreme Court on Monday heard a petition filed by the mosque committee against worshiping in the Vyas basement of Gnanavapi complex in Kashi. Advocate Huzaifa Ahmadi for the mosque. They demanded immediate ban on worship. Responding to these arguments, Chief Justice DY Chandrachud said that the entrance to the basement is from the south and the entrance to the mosque is from the north. He said that both will not affect each other, and for now, the prayers of both groups can continue as usual. The lower court allowed Hindus to worship in the southern basement. Allahabad High Court also upheld this order.
