Revenue department officer who swallowed bribe money

amaravathi: Lokayukta Special Police caught him red-handed while taking a bribe of Rs.5 thousand in Katni, Amaravati, Madhya Pradesh. Patwari Gajendra Singh took a bribe of 5 thousand rupees from a person in his private office. There are 10 notes of Rs.500.. On seeing the police, he chewed and swallowed the 10 notes he had. SP Sanjay Sahu said that Patwari Gajendra took bribe. The police said that the trapping was done on the complaint of a person from Barkeda village. It is said that Gajendra is currently undergoing treatment at the hospital and is fine.
A case has been registered in this incident and investigation is underway.
