Vinesh Phogat was disqualified for being 100 grams overweight

Amaravati: Indian wrestler Vinesh Phogat is one step away from victory. Phogat, who reached the final in the women’s 50 kg freestyle category, is all set to give India a medal. She was 100 grams more than the prescribed weight of 50 kg as per the rules and was disqualified. Due to disqualification, she lost her chance to win a medal. The Indian Olympic Association revealed about the disqualification incident imposed on Vinesh. IOA said that they are focusing on the remaining departments to give respect to Vinesh’s talent.
