18 months back Annamayya Dam washed away-Pawan

Amaravati: Jana Senani Pawan Kalyan is criticizing YSP government policies. On 19th November 2021, 23 people were killed and crops in 22,000 acres were submerged in the Annamaiya Dam flood. At the time of the incident, a video was posted on social media saying that the YCP government had given many promises. It is mentioned in the video that they promised to build houses for the victims in three to six months and to rebuild the Annamaiya Dam. It is not said that a high power committee is being set up to take action to prevent the recurrence of such incidents. Even though 18 months have passed since the accident, the victims are still looking forward and the farmers are left with disappointment. He said that the words are empty, the results are zero.. In the assembly, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Annamaiah spoke about the dam accident and proudly announced that a high level committee is being set up under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary and steps will be taken to prevent such incidents from happening again. And what happened to that committee, they demanded that the rest of the dams in the state should be given public domain to prevent such incidents from happening.

Union Water Resources Minister Shakawat said in the Rajya Sabha that the Annamiya Dam accident was a failure of the state government. reminded that if an international study is conducted on this incident, the reputation of the country will be damaged.
