A non-bailable case has been registered against former cricketer Azharuddin

Hyderabad: A non-bailable case has been registered against former cricketer Azharuddin. The Uppal police have registered cases under various sections on the complaint of HCA CEO Sunil alleging that there was a multi-crore goal mall in the purchase of various materials at the Uppal stadium. A special inquiry committee found irregularities during Azhar’s tenure as HCA president between 2019-22.. The CEO’s complaint stated that there were irregularities in the purchase of various equipment including fire extinguishers, cricket balls, bucket chairs and gym equipment. A case was registered against Azharuddin under sections 406, 409, 420, 465, 467, 471, 120(b) of the IPC.
