Auto explosion in Mangalore-Act of Terrorism-DGP
Amaravati: An auto explosion took place on a busy road in Kankanadi police station area in Karnataka state Mangalore on Saturday around 5 pm. The police have confirmed that the incident was not accidental but an act of terrorism. Karnataka DGP gave details on this incident on Twitter. “Yesterday’s explosion was not an accident, it was an act of terror, and the explosion was deliberately carried out to cause heavy damage. We have just confirmed the matter. The Karnataka Police along with central agencies are conducting an in-depth investigation into this,” said the DGP. Reacting to this matter, Karnataka Home Minister Araga Gyanendra said that the central investigation agencies are cooperating with the investigation being conducted by the police. He said that the police are collecting all the information related to the blast and central investigation agencies have reached Mangalore. He said that full information about the explosion will be received in two days. Yesterday’s explosion has created panic in the people of Mangalore. The police recovered the burnt pressure cooker from the auto rickshaw. It was also revealed that Aadhaar card and SIM cards have been seized.
