Tirupati: Home Minister Anitha Dharam has given financial assistance of 10 lakh rupees to the parents of a child (3) who was killed due to violence in Vadamala Peta, Tirupati district and visited the child’s family. The baby’s parents have been assured that steps will be taken to punish the accused severely within 2 to 3 months. He said that the Chief Minister is taking steps to set up a fast-track court for such murders.
Sushant (22), a resident of the same village, hoped to get some chocolates for a child (3) years in ST Colony, Alivelu Mangapuram, Vadamala Peta on Friday. He took the baby to the fields and committed rape, then killed him and buried him there. As her child did not come home in the evening, her mother lodged a complaint at the Vadamapeta police station. At the same time, the baby’s mother suspected Sushant.
On Friday, District SP Subbarayudu immediately responded and sent the local police to the village where the complaint was received.
When the police detained Sushant and questioned him, he confessed to the crime and showed the place where the child was buried.
Responding to this incident, CM Chandrababu expressed his deepest sympathy to the family of Chinnari and announced an ex-gratia of Rs.10 lakhs. On Sunday, Home Minister Anita visited Papa’s mother and father and handed them a check and said that the government will build houses for them.
