BSF jawans shot down Pakistani drones
Amaravati: A drone from Pakistan was shot down by BSF soldiers after they spotted it entering Indian Territory in Amritsar. A partially damaged drone along with a suspicious object was recovered from the spot. The drone was shot down by the Indian Army after it was spotted intruding into Indian Territory near Chaharpur village in Punjab state. Military officials said that Pakistan has foiled another smuggling attempt with this incident. After spotting two infiltrators near the border in Punjab’s Pathankot, the infiltrators turned back and fled into Pakistan, BSF officials said. The movements of Pakistani infiltrators were recorded in the thermal camera installed at the border. Compared to 2021, Pakistani drones entered Indian Territory, where nearly 230 drones were spotted this year. BSF officials revealed that Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) is sending arms and drugs through these drones.
