Ex-intelligence officer hit by car and killed
Amaravati: In Karnataka, a former intelligence officer of the state was killed by unidentified people after hitting him with a car. RK Kulkarna (82), a former Intelligence Bureau (IB) officer, was hit by a speeding car while taking an evening walk in the Manasagangotri campus of Mysore University on Friday evening. He was seriously injured and died. On receiving this information, the police initially thought that Kulkarni had died in a road accident. However, after examining the CCTV footage of the area, it was confirmed that the incident was not an accident, but someone had deliberately hit him with a car. A case of murder has been registered and is being investigated. Mysore Police Commissioner Chandragupta said that Kulkarni, who served in the IB for 30 years, retired less than 23 years ago. Kulkarni revealed that vehicles such as cars do not ply on the road that Kulkarni walks in the evening, so someone deliberately hit him with a car and killed him. The police officer said that the car involved in the incident did not have number plates, but they have found some evidence. Special police teams have been formed to investigate in depth.
