A fast moving “Sitrang” typhoon

Amaravati: Heavy rains are falling in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana due to low pressure in Bay of Bengal. The State Disaster Management Department has been issuing early warnings indicating the timing of storms as well as the timing of thunderstorms. The police department advised to dial 100 for any emergency. IMD officials are predicting that there is a possibility of Cyclone Sitrang moving towards Odisha, West Bengal and Bangladesh. Coastal people are advised to take precautions. Fishermen have been warned not to go into the sea for hunting under any circumstances during the typhoon.
