Chinese woman caught in Delhi disguised as a Buddhist nun
Amaravati: A woman from China was arrested by the Delhi Police while she was walking around in the guise of a Buddhist monk with fake identity cards by changing her name. Fluent in English, Nepali and Chinese, she was identified as ‘Kai Ruo’ from China’s Henan province. The police identified the woman as a Buddhist monk disguised as ‘Dolma Lama’ and living in Delhi. Police arrested her in Majnuka Tila, a Titetan refugee colony near the North Gate of Delhi University, dressed as a Buddhist monk, and seized her Nepalese citizenship certificate bearing the name of Dolma Lama. The woman was confirmed to be a Chinese citizen after she was inquired about at the Foreign Regional Registration Office. As she is from China and has been staying in India since 2019 with Nepalese citizenship documents, the Delhi Police who arrested her are investigating her in the course of raising many suspicions that she is a Chinese spy. A case has been registered against her under several sections of the IPC like 120B (criminal conspiracy), 419 (defrauding a person), 420 (cheating), 467 forgery of security). Her identity card has an address in Nepal’s capital Kathmandu, police said. During her interrogation, she said that some leaders of the Chinese Communist Party were trying to kill her and that’s why she was hiding here, but the police believe that the reasons given by her are not credible.
