Amaravati: Former cricketer Roger Binny has been elected as the new president of BCCI. Former cricketer Roger Binny was elected as the new president of the BCCI at the 91st Annual General Meeting of the BCCI held at the Taj Hotel in Mumbai. Roger Binny is the 36th president of BCCI. Along with the president, the new executive committee of the board was elected in the AGM. With the tenure of the executive committee led by Sourav Ganguly, who served as the BCCI president, coming to an end, representatives of more than 30 cricket associations affiliated to the board elected a new executive committee. Arun Dhumal, who has acted as the treasurer of the board so far, will act as the chairman of the IPL board. Mumbai Cricket Association representative Ashish Shelar will take charge as the new BCCI treasurer. Rajeev Shukla was elected as the Vice President of the Board and Devjit Saikia as the Joint Secretary. Jaisha will continue as BCCI secretary.
