Goa CM Pramod Sawant inaugurated the Iron Man 70.3 event
Amaravati: Goa CM Pramod Sawant inaugurated the Iron Men sports event in Panaji, Goa. Organizers said that while 1450 players from 33 countries are participating in the event, women are also participating for the first time. He said that they have been invited to participate in the competitions from the Army, Navy and Police departments.
Inspired by the Fit-India movement launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Ironman 70.3 Goa was launched for the first time in 2019. After that the event was canceled for two years due to covid-19. 1450 aspirants are participating in this year’s competition. The Ironman 70.3 Goa event consists of 1.9 km swimming, 90 km cycling, and 21 km running competitions. CM Pramod Sawant along with MP Tejash Surya participated in this program. On this occasion, they said that such events not only improve physical fitness but also bring mental excitement.
