Himachal Pradesh Assembly Election Schedule Released
Amaravati: The Central Election Commission has released the schedule for the Himachal Pradesh Assembly election. CEC Rajeev Kumar announced that the election in Himachal will be held in a single phase. He spoke at a media conference on Friday. The notification for the election will be released on 17th October. Nominations will be accepted from 17th to 25th. The time for withdrawal of nominations is till 29th of this month. While polling for 68 seats will be held on November 12, counting will be held on December 8. The CEC has made it clear that no matter how they try to entice the voters, they will not neglect to take strict measures and will keep vigilance to prevent illegal activities from continuing. In Himachal Pradesh which has 68 assembly seats, 35 seats have to be won to rule. The term of Himachal Assembly will end in January 2023.
Regarding the Gujarat Assembly Elections, the EC has explained that there is a lot of snow in the mountainous region of Himachal Pradesh, therefore the elections are being conducted following the procedures followed in the past.
