Indians and European countries can also make payments over the phone

Amaravati: India is taking one step forward towards making digital payments at the global level. Citizens of India can make digital payments directly from the phone through UPI and RuPay. For this purpose, these two companies have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with National Payment Corporation of India (NPCI) with Worldline, a leading company providing digital payment services in European countries. India has reached another milestone towards digital transaction revolution. World Line’s QR code system will support UPI payments made by Indians from phones in European countries in the coming days. With this, Indians can make payments through RuPay debit and credit cards at all Point of Sale (POS) machines in the respective countries.
