Center has announced 78 days Diwali bonus for railway employees
Amaravati: Central government has announced 78 days Diwali bonus for railway employees. It has been announced that a total of Rs.1823 crore will be paid as festival bonus to 11.27 lakh railway employees. Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur said that a decision was taken in the Union Cabinet meeting held on Wednesday. Three public sector oil marketing companies Indian Oil Corporation, Bharat Petroleum Corporation and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation have announced a package of Rs 22 thousand crores to compensate for the losses. It has been mentioned that this grant will be used to compensate the loss incurred in cases where the oil companies sold LPG gas below the market price between June 2020 and June 2022. Anurag Thakur reminded that LPG prices have increased by almost 300 percent in the international market during this period. A package of Rs.600 crores was announced for the development of North Eastern states. He said that the Union Cabinet has given its seal of approval to the “Multi State Cooperative Societies Bill 2022”. He said that this will encourage ease of doing business in the country. It has been revealed that this will help to increase transparency in multi-state cooperative societies.
