New CBI investigation team in YS Viveka murder case

Amaravathi: On the orders of the Supreme Court, the entire CBI team investigating the YS Vivekananda Reddy murder case has been changed by the top officials. This was announced by the CBI headquarters in Delhi on Wednesday, March 29. Ramsingh, who is currently the investigating officer in this case, has been replaced by CBI DIG Chaurasia. SP Vikash Singh, ASP Mukesh Kumar as members of the new team, S. Srimati, Punia, and SI Ankit Yadav as inspectors have formed a six-member team. Henceforth, the investigation of the murder case will continue under their supervision. With the Supreme Court order to complete the investigation by April 30, the new team will take charge immediately. It is learned that the new team has decided to investigate every day as there is a period of only one month.

The Supreme Court heard the petition filed by Tulasamma, the wife of Shankar Reddy, who is the A5 accused in the case, seeking to change Ramsingh, who was the investigating officer of the case till now. Ordering to leave the investigation team, she expressed impatience with the way the investigation was going on. The apex court questioned what is the use of rambling when there is no progress even though the investigation has been going on for three years. In this context, the top CBI officials handed over the investigation of the YS Vivekananda Reddy murder case to a new team headed by Chaurasia.
