‘Prachand’ helicopter with indigenous technology-how is the irrefutable answer

Amaravati: The indigenously developed Light Combat Helicopters (LCH) were formally inducted into the Air Force by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, CDS General Anil Chauhan and Air Chief Marshal VR Chowdhury at a ceremony held in Jodhpur, Rajasthan on Monday. With the arrival of this chopper, which has the ability to launch various types of missiles and weapons, the strength of the Indian Air Force has increased further. It flies well in all weather conditions. it is designed to be able to land and take off at an altitude of 16,400 feet and conduct defensive operations in Siachen and eastern Ladakh. While the Indian Air Force considers the need for 160 light combat helicopters, it is currently supplying 10 helicopters to the Air Force and 5 to the Army. The production speed of these will pick up from 2023. HAL only has the resources to manufacture 60 helicopters per year. There is a possibility that the government will hand over the rest of the chopper production to private companies for domestic defense needs?
