Private Travels buses seized-Transport Commissioner Chander
Nellore: Four private travel vehicles going from Bengaluru to Vijayawada without paying the quarterly works to the state government were identified and the inspection receipts were registered on the said vehicles on Thursday morning and the vehicles were taken into possession, said Transport Commissioner Chander.
In view of the rush of passengers, the transport department has decided to take serious action against the plying of private travel vehicles without paying the tri monthly tax. He said that ten cases have been registered especially on private travels on vehicles with bright lights that cause trouble to the eyes of drivers of other vehicles on the national highway. He also said that a case has been registered against ten vehicles of private travel buses for unauthorized commercial goods transportation. The commissioner informed that a tax and penalty of 30 lakh rupees should be collected on these vehicles. Motor Vehicle Inspection Officers Balamuralikrishna, Gopi Naik, Rambabu, Sundar Rao, Karthik Pawan, Purnachandra Rao and Swapnil Reddy participated in these inspections.
