Above-normal maximum temperatures have become common in southern peninsular India since 1980. It has been revealed that there may be hot winds for 8-11 days in May in South Rajasthan, West Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Marathwada and Gujarat. The main reason for the sunshine in April is the absence of thunderstorms. He said that normal rainfall is likely to be recorded across the country in the month of May. Some parts of north-west, central India, most parts of north-east India are likely to receive more than normal rainfall, he said.
