11 killed in road accident in Madhya Pradesh

Amaravati: 11 people died on the spot in a fatal road accident in Madhya Pradesh around 2 am on Friday. The incident took place when a bus and a Tavera collided near Jhallar police station in Betul district. After receiving the information about the accident, the police immediately reached the spot and took measures to help. The injured were immediately admitted to a local hospital. Doctors said that the condition of one of them is critical. The dead included 6 men, 3 women and 2 children. All the people in Tavera’s car were going to their home from Amaravati in Maharashtra.Betul SP Shimla Prasad said that the Tavera driver fell asleep on the way and hit the oncoming bus.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed shock over the fatal road accident. He expressed his deepest condolences to the families of the deceased. Also, an ex gratia of Rs 2 lakh was announced to the families of the deceased. Financial assistance of Rs.50 thousand has been announced for the injured.
