Amaravati: The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has arrested 6 people belonging to a network gang that supplies narcotics across the country (Pan India). Large scale seizure of synthetic chemical based drugs. In this case, it was found that the accused were transacting with cryptocurrency through the dark web. 15,000 blots of lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD) have been seized, NCB Deputy Director General Gyaneshwar Singh revealed. It is said that this is the first time that such a large quantity of LSD blots has been seized in a single operation. It is said that the accused are transacting using crypto wallets and cryptocurrencies through the dark net. He said that in such transactions there is no physical contact between buyers and sellers.
He said that the drug network has spread to Poland, Netherlands, United States and other parts of our country like Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh and Delhi. In this operation, 2.5 kg of marijuana and Rs.24.65 lakh cash were seized. NCB officials said that the seized LSD was a higher grade drug and its value was also high. The seized LSD has no smell or taste and the gang members said that it was difficult to detect the drug as it was transported among books.
