Junior NTR to High Court on purchase of house land
Hyderabad: Junior NTR has filed a petition in the Telangana High Court on the dispute related to the purchase of the house. A bench of justices Sujoypal and J Srinivasa Rao heard the petition on Thursday. 681 square yards of land in Jubilee Hills Housing Society was purchased for Rs.24 crores. There is a controversy in this matter. Tarak stated that he bought the land in 2003 from a woman named Geetha after taking all the legal permissions and started construction of the house in the same year. But the people who sold the land to NTR claimed that they had mortgaged it and took loans from them in 1996, SBI, Oriental Bank of Commerce, IndusInd and Bank of Baroda approached the Debt Recovery Tribunal (DRT) under the Surface Act, and the judgment came in favor of the banks. But Tarak first filed a petition in the DRT challenging the bank notices. After hearing the arguments, the DRT ruled that the banks have rights over the land. In this background, a case was registered against Geetha who sold the land based on NTR’s complaint. Also, the bench adjourned the case to June 6, which was refused even though it was requested to post the further investigation of the case before the vacation bench. It ordered that the detailed documents related to the case be submitted by June 3.
