Amaravati: The time is almost finalized for the inauguration of the new Parliament building. PM Modi will inaugurate the new Parliament building on May 28. In December 2020, the Prime Minister laid the foundation stone for the construction of the new Parliament building, and the construction work started from October 1, 2021. This new parliament was built at an estimated cost of Rs.970 crore. These construction works are being done under the auspices of the Central Housing Department. This building built on an area of 64,500 square meters has four floors. It has been designed to seat a total of 1,224 MPs. The new Parliament building will have three main entrances. Named as Gyan Dwar, Shakti Dwar, Karma Dwar..Also large halls, library, spacious parking space and various committee rooms are designed with modern touches.. Photos of Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, Subhash Chandra Bose and other Prime Ministers of the country are being installed in the new Parliament building. It is learned that the monsoon sessions of the Parliament will be held in the new building in July.
