The President of France is participating in the Republic Day celebrations for the 6th time

Amaravati: French President Emmanuel Macron is expected to attend the Republic Day celebrations to be held on January 26, 2024 as the chief guest. The news agency PTI said that India has invited Macron as the chief guest for the Republic Day celebrations on Friday. This is the 6th time that the President of France has participated in the Republic Day celebrations. US Ambassador to our country Eric Garcetti previously revealed that Prime Minister Modi spoke to Biden as part of the bilateral discussions held during the G20 summit held in Delhi recently and invited the President to be the chief guest at the Republic celebrations. He said that Biden also responded positively to Modi’s invitation. It is expected that Biden will be the chief guest of the Republic Day celebrations. It has been informed that he may not be able to attend these ceremonies due to the recent events in America.
It seems that India has recently invited Macron in this context.
