My government will surely fulfill the aspirations of the youth of Jammu and Kashmir-PM Modi
Amaravati: Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that Article 370 is a hindrance to the development of Jammu and Kashmir, therefore, with the abrogation of Article 370, today Jammu and Kashmir is developing rapidly. Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday after four years. In this context, Prime Minister Modi started development works worth Rs.32 thousand crores. The Prime Minister said that compared to 2014, Kashmir has developed in all fields. Prime Minister Modi handed over appointment letters to around 1,500 people selected for government jobs in Jammu and Kashmir and congratulated them all. He assured that his government will surely fulfill the aspirations of the youth of Jammu and Kashmir. He said that terrorism has decreased in Jammu and Kashmir, and the people of Jammu and Kashmir are strongly opposed to corruption and inheritance politics.
He said that the Center will give a big boost to Jammu and Kashmir in the fields of education and medicine. A new chapter of social justice has begun in Jammu and Kashmir. He reminded that Gujjars, Paharis, STs, SCs, Kashmiri Pandits and refugees from West Pakistan have got their rights in the state.
32,000 crore worth of development works:- In Jammu and Kashmir Rs. PM Modi has launched multiple development projects worth Rs 32,000 crore in education, railways, aviation and road sectors. These projects include Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs), Central Universities. Railway projects include railway line between Banihal-Khari-Sambar-Sangaldan (48 km), newly electrified Baramulla-Srinagar-Banihal-Sangaldan section (185.66 km).
He flagged off the first electric train in the valley, the train service between Sangaldan and Baramulla stations. Prime Minister Modi interacted with the beneficiaries of various schemes as part of the ‘Vikasit Bharat, Vikasit Jammu’ programme.
