‘Ram Lalla’ idol in the sanctum sanctorum is complete

Amaravati: Ahead of the ‘Pranapratishtapana’ program to be held next Monday (22nd), the idol of ‘Ram Lalla’ was installed in the sanctum sanctorum of the Ayodhya Ram Temple after nearly 550 years. On Thursday morning, the idol was moved into the sanctum sanctorum with chants of Vedic mantras, Jai Shri Ram, and then installed. The program was held in the presence of Vedic scholars chanting, members of Sri Rama Janmabhoomi Tirthakshetra Tust. A 51-inch ‘Ram Lalla’ idol sculpted by Mysore-based sculptor Arun Yogiraj has been placed in Gurbhagudi.
Kalashapuja was performed on Thursday as part of the 7-day life-giving activities. Jalabhisheka will be performed to the idol as part of Jaladhivas program in the evening. Ganeshambika Puja, Varuna Puja, Chaturvedokta Punyavachanam, Mandapa entry, Prithvi-Kurma-Ananta- Varaha-Yajnabhumi Pujas will be done..
