We will provide an alternative to flexi based traders-Collector

Nellore: District Collector Chakradhar Babu said that alternative arrangements will be made for traders who depend on the plastic flexi business sector and financial security will be ensured. A review meeting was held with flexi traders at the Zilla Parishad office on Saturday and the guidelines suggested by the government were explained. Speaking on this occasion, the Collector suggested that banners made of handloom and cloth should be made by machines as an alternative to plastic. He said that efforts will be made to identify flexi-based workers through the secretariat system and provide them with incentive loans to run other businesses. The collector made it clear that the ban on plastic flexi will come into effect across the state from November 1 and legal action will be taken against those who violate the rules. The Collector revealed that MPDO, Corporation, Municipal Commissioners, RDO, Police and Secretariat departments will be formed as special teams and inspections will be conducted for the implementation of government regulations. Corporation Commissioner Mrs. Haritha suggested that notices have been given to all the flexi agencies under the jurisdiction of the city government and everyone should cooperate. Zilla Parishad Chairperson Anam Arunamma, officers and staff of all departments participated in the meeting.
