Rishi created history as the first Indian-origin Prime Minister of Britain

Amaravati: The political crisis created in Britain after the resignation of Liz Truss got a solution in the form of Rishi Sunak of Indian origin. Rishi Sunak has been unanimously elected as the President of the Conservative Party. Sunak created history as the first person of Indian origin to hold the post of Prime Minister of Britain. While the support of 100 members of Parliament is required to take up the post of British Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak was supported by 193 MPs.

He said that if he comes to power, he will take all the necessary measures to bring the country’s economy into a ditch. With Boris Johnson out of the ring, Penny Mordaunt was the only one to compete against Rishi Sunak. But as she had the support of only 26 MPs, she withdrew from the contest. Suella Braverman, the British former home minister’s secretary, who spoke out against Indians, also declared support for Rishi Sunak in a mandatory situation.
