Better medical services should be provided to government employees-Collector
Nellore: District Collector Chakradhar Babu said that government employees are suffering from various chronic diseases in addition to mental stress in the performance of their duties, and it is gratifying to establish a chronic diseases outpatient department to provide medical services to all of them. The district collector inaugurated the chronic diseases outpatient department specially set up for government employees under the Employees Health Scheme (EHS) at the Government Public Hospital in the city on Monday. On this occasion, the District Collector said that from Monday to Saturday, from 10 am to 1 pm, this department should work. Arrangements should be made so that employees can be tested and sent quickly without making anyone wait. All the government employees as well as the retired employees of the district should take advantage of this opportunity. Earlier, GGH superintendent Dr. Siddhanayak explained to the collector that OP department has doctor’s consultation room, reception room and laboratory for examination of different types of samples.
Medicines are also given as per the doctor’s instructions. General medicine, bones and joints, mental, skin, stomach, heart diseases, endocrinology, lungs, kidneys, diabetes, hypertension, Parkinson’s, epilepsy etc. 24 types of chronic diseases are treated, he said. Hospital Development Society Coordinator Mrs. Lakshmi Sunanda, members, many professors, paramedical, nursing, pharmacy staff and government employees participated in this program.
