Officials demolished the Vanatara resort with bulldozers on the orders of the CM
Amaravati: Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami reacted strongly to the murder case of Ankita Bhandari (19). After the CM ordered to demolish the Vanatara resort, the authorities demolished the resort belonging to Pulkit Arya with bulldozers. Going into details…Pulkit Arya is the son of former Uttarakhand Minister Vinod Arya. He runs a resort named Vanatara in Rishikesh. Ankita Bhandari started working as a receptionist. On September 18, when she reached home at 6 pm, Ankita’s parents lodged a complaint with the police. The police registered a missing case and arrested the owner of the resort, Pulkit Arya, the manager and the accountant. When the police interrogated Pulkit Arya, who initially tried to mislead the case, the accused admitted that due to a dispute, Ankita Bhandari was drunk and thrown into the Chilla canal. The SDRF teams started the search operation from 7 am on Saturday and recovered the body of Ankita Bhandari. After that the dead body was shifted to AIIMS in Rishikesh.
The CM has given instructions to the district magistrates to investigate the managers of all the resorts in the state. He ordered to take action against illegal resorts. The CM revealed that a SIT has been set up under Deputy Inspector General of Police P Renukadevi in this case.
