Megastar Chiranjeevi received the Padma Vibhushan award from the President
Hyderabad: Popular film actor Konidela Chiranjeevi received the Padma Vibhushan from President Draupadi Murmu on Thursday. He who came from a simple family and climbed the heights in the film industry, played his part in community service by setting up Oxygen Bank through Chiranjeevi Charitable Trust during the Covid. On the occasion of Republic Day, the central government has announced Padma awards to 132 people for the year 2024. 67 of them were awarded Padma awards on April 22 by President Draupadi Murmu, while the remaining 65 were awarded from 6:30 pm on Thursday. Chiranjeevi received the Padma Vibhushan award at this function held at the Rashtrapati Bhavan. The program was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Vice President, many Union Ministers and officials.
